6. Turn the computer over.

7. Slide the battery lock to the open position.

8. Slide the battery latch release to the open position. (You may need to hold the latch release in the open position while removing the battery.)

9. Slide the battery out of the battery bay.

10. Turn the computer top-side up, open the display, and press the power button to ground the system board.
