Steps
1. Remove the three screws (M2x3) and loosen the four captive screws that secure the discrete heat sink to the system
board.
NOTE:
Loosen the four captive screws in the reverse sequential order mentioned on the discrete heat sink [4 > 3 > 2 >
1].
2. Lift and remove the discrete heat sink from the system board.

Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
NOTE:
If either the system board or the discrete heat sink is replaced, use the thermal grease provided in the kit to ensure
that thermal conductivity is achieved.
