Removing the Fan
CAUTION: Before you begin the following procedure, follow the safety
instructions that shipped with your computer.

Follow the instructions in "Before Working on Your Computer" on page 29.

Loosen the two screws that secure the memory cover. (See "Removing a
Memory Module" on page 49 for an illustration of the memory cover.)

Slide the cover out of the compartment and set it aside.

Remove the three M2.5 x 5-mm screws that secure the fan to the base of
the computer.

Disconnect the fan connector from the system board connector, and
remove the fan.
