Removing the Heat-Sink Fan
1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
2. Remove the:
a) battery
b) base cover
c) memory
d) optical drive
e) hard drive
f) keyboard
g) palmrest
h) WLAN card
3. Disconnect the heat-sink fan cable from the system board. Lift the fan upwards and away from the computer.
Installing the Heat-Sink Fan
1. Place the heat-sink fan on the system board.
2. Connect the fan cable to the system board.
3. Install the:
a) WLAN card
b) palmrest
c) keyboard
d) hard drive
e) optical drive
f) memory
g) base cover
h) battery
4. Follow the procedures in After Working Inside Your Computer .
