Ensure that all connectors are properly cabled and firmly seated.

Replace the computer cover (see "Replacing the Computer Cover" on page 125).
NOTICE: To connect a network cable, first plug the cable into the network port or device and then plug it into the
computer.

Connect the computer and devices to electrical outlets, and turn them on.
Installing a Hard Drive
CAUTION: Before you begin any of the procedures in this section, follow the safety instructions in the Product
Information Guide.

Follow the procedures in "Before You Begin" on page 75.

Remove the computer cover (see "Removing the Computer Cover" on page 76).

Remove the existing hard drive, if applicable (see "Removing a Hard Drive" on page 99).
NOTE: If a hard-drive bracket is installed inside of the hard-drive bay, remove the bracket before you install
the new hard drive.
