Removing the fan
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the:
a. back cover
b. battery
c. WLAN card
3. To remove the fan:
a. Disconnect the I/O board and system board cables from the connectors on the system board [1]
[2].
b. Unroute the WLAN connector cables from the fan module [3].
4. To remove the fan:
a. Disconnect the fan connector cable from the system board [1].
b. Remove the screws that secure the system fan to the system board [2].
c. Lift and remove the system fan from the computer [3].
