Crucial safety step: Disconnect machine from power source and remove the saw blade before starting assembly.
Remove guard mounting hardware, guard, and upper arm assembly from the band saw base.
Place riser block onto lower arm and attach upper arm assembly to the riser block.
Fasten the upper and lower arms together using the provided screw, washer, and nut.
Mount the new guard assembly to the upper and lower arms using specified hardware.
Install the blade, adjust tension, tracking, and blade guides for proper operation.
Adjust the guard assembly position up or down and tighten the wing nut.
Attach the 1/2" x 1-1/2" bracket to the arm assembly using screws and flanged hex nuts.
Reattach the longer end of the angle bracket to the blade guard with a carriage bolt.
Attach the blade guard assembly to the bracket using screw, washer, lockwasher, and hex nut.
Check that the blade guard assembly fits correctly on the outside of the top cover.
