The amount of dirt in the air cleaner de-
pends on the amount of dust in the air and
the size of the air cleaner used. If a high
level of dust is anticipated, a cyclone-type
precleaner can be fitted to the air cleaner.
Cleaning intervals will have to be deter-
mined from case to case.
If dry type air filters are used, cleaning
should only be carried out according to the
service indicator or service switch.
Air cleaner servicing is needed when
- Service indicator
the red signal 1 is fully visible when the
engine is off.
- Service switch
the yellow pilot light comes on when the
engine is running.
After carrying out service work, reset the
signal by pressing the button on the serv-
ice indicator. The service indicator is now
ready for operation again.
