What to do if engine start does not work on DieHard Automobile Battery Charger?
- BBecky JohnsonJul 25, 2025
If the engine start function isn't working on your DieHard Automobile Battery Charger, it could be due to several reasons. You might be drawing more current than the Engine Start rate allows, resulting in a shorter crank time. Also, ensure you wait the full 3 minutes (180 seconds) between cranks, until the display shows 'rdy'. Overheating can also cause this issue, so check that the charger vents are not blocked and allow it to cool. If the battery is severely discharged, using the Boost rate for 10-15 minutes before attempting to crank can help.
