Rev. 1.2 (12.2021) MINI-CUBE | SERVICE MANUAL 41
(Pag. 4/4) - The fourth page displays
information and graphs related to the Control
Method.
This method is based on the "squaring" of the
curves, where two curves are used.
Pressing READ1 or READ2 you enter the
details of the first or second reading of the
sample. The curves are presented:
- BLUE or RED raw reading (BLUE if it is the
first reading, RED if it is the second).
- HEAVENLY the graph after applying the
narrow moving average (AVG SMALL)
- ORANGE graph after applying the wide
moving average (AVG LARGE)
The default setting for the narrow moving
average is 20. This means that for each sample
of the crude chart an average is performed
with twenty samples that precede and follow
it with the twenty in addition to himself (total
20 + 20 + 1 = 41).
For large moving average the default is 50 (= 50 + 50 + 1 = 101). The range is from 0 to 150
(0 = average of one sample, so no media, 150 = average of 301 samples).
By varying in the ReadViewer one of two values (for example, bringing the 50 to 100) you
can clearly see the effect on the graph.
With very clean curves the point of intersection between the two graphs is mediated
generally around the center of the front of the curve descent. With non-linear curves,
the point of intersection can move a lot along the graph.
The CM (Control Method) it’s available starting from SW V. 1.05.
After performing the first method, each reading is passed to the CM method (Control
method). The principle of operation of the CM is as follow:
- From the original curve, the curve 1 is generated by a moving average (default) of
20 + 1 + 20 = 41 data.
- From the original curve, the curve 2 is generated by a moving average (default) of
50 + 1 + 50 = 101 data.
