Why is my Digital Check Scanner not recognized as a USB device?
    • A
      Adrian CochranAug 6, 2025
If the host PCB doesn't recognize the Digital Check Scanner as a USB device, consider these potential causes: * The USB cable might be damaged or not up to USB 2.0 standards. Inspect the cable and replace it if necessary. * Excessive cable length can cause issues. Keep the USB cable length to a maximum of 15 feet (5 meters), avoiding extension cables, USB hubs, and cable adapters. * The PC may have lost the USB connection. Try completely shutting down the PC (not restarting) to re-initialize the USB system. If this happens repeatedly, the host PC might have a defect.

What to do if my Digital Check Scanner will not power up?

      William IrwinAug 22, 2025
If your Digital Check Scanner isn't powering on, and the blue LED in the function switch is off, there are a few things you can check: * Ensure the scanner is plugged into a working AC outlet and that the AC cord is securely connected to the power 'brick'. * Verify the AC outlet is functional by testing it with another device. * If the green LED on the power supply 'brick' is not lit, the power supply may be defective and needs replacement.
