Why is my Digittrade Storage drive performing very slowly?

  Your Digittrade Storage drive might be performing slowly due to several reasons. First, ensure your HS128 / HS256 is connected to a USB 2.0 bus interface. Also, use the USB-Y-cable provided and connect both the A- and B-plugs to your computer. Make sure the USB and FireWire cable is properly connected to your computer. If the HS128/256 is plugged into a USB hub, connect it directly to your computer. Finally, try disconnecting other USB devices connected to the same port to see if performance improves.

  If your Digittrade Storage drive cannot be identified, ensure that the HS128/256 is not connected to a bus-powered USB hub or a USB extension cable. Use the delivered USB-Y-cable. Also, the drive cannot be identified if there is a missing partition or the file system cannot be detected.

  If the numberpad on your Digittrade Storage is inactive, ensure that the USB connector is firmly connected to your computer’s USB port, or if you are using Firewire, ensure that the Firewire connector is firmly connected to the computer’s Firewire port. Also, ensure that a valid card is inserted with the contacts facing down.
