1. INTRODUCTION
This manual contains installation, operation and maintenance instructions regarding APM scale. Please read it completely
before using the instrument.
1.1 DESCRIPTION
These scales are precision weighing instruments that will ensure a long-lasting efficiency if properly maintained.
1.2 SAFETY PRECAUTION
Please follow these safety precautions:
Verify that the input voltage printed on the AC Adapter matches the local AC power supply.
Use the scale only in dry locations.
Do not use the scale in hostile environments.
Do not drop loads on the platform.
Maintenance should be performed only by authorized personnel.
Place the scale in a stable environment, and set the adjustable feet by referring to the level.
The indicator/scale is equipped with rechargeable battery. Please charge it until the indicator turns green, to ensure
the best battery performance.
Always use factory supplied power adaptor for charging purpose. An unapproved power adaptor may shorten the
battery life, and cause further damages to the electronic components.
Warm up the scale for 15 minutes before using it for the first time.
When switching on, make sure that the capacity and division values on the display are set according to the data
plate.
Avoid using the scale in environments with strong wind, vibrations and strong magnetic field.
Use the instrument within the recommended temperature range, and avoid wet environments.
Recharge the battery immediately when the indicator starts flashing.
Use a damp cloth to clean the scale, if necessary.
When the system is not used, switch off the power and keep the scale in a dry and cool place.
1.3 CLEANING
If cleaning is required, use a soft cloth dampened with water and a mild detergent. Do not allow liquids to penetrate inside
the scale. Do not use harsh chemicals to clean the scale; the finish may be damaged.
1.4 RECYCLING INSTRUCTION
The crossed-out wheeled bin on the product means that at the product end of life, it must be taken to
separate collection or to the reseller when a new equivalent type of equipment is purchased. The adequate
differentiated refuse collection in having the product recycled, helps to avoid possible negative effects on the
environment and health and supports the recycling of the materials of which the equipment is made. The
unlawful disposal of the product by the user will entail fines foreseen by the current regulations.
