4. INSTRUCTION FOR USE
The APM is equipped with user friendly functions, including preset tare, manual tare, auto tare, automatic continuous tare,
simple counting and memory functions.
Before start weighing:
a) The scale must be placed on a solid surface.
b) Use adjustable feet and the level to make sure the scale is leveled.
c) Power on the scale and wait for the counting down.
d) The scale should be in zero weight status, and the display should show the zero and the stability indicator.
e) If Zero indicator is not on, press ZERO to set the display to zero.
f) If zero weight status cannot be obtained, remove the platform and check the position of the cross inside the scale.
g) If the stability indicator is not on, first check the surface on which the scale is placed. Then, if necessary, move the
scale.
4.1 SETTING THE SCALE TO ZERO
Remove the load from the platform and press the Zero key to set the display to zero.
When the weighing platform is empty, the Zero indicator turns on (if the measurement is within ± 1/4 d of the zero setting).
4.2 WEIGHING UNIT SELECTION
Press MODE to switch between measuring unit and piece counting mode.
4.3 TARE FUNCTION SETTING
This indicator is equipped with auto tare, continuous tare (please refer to Fn.10 of internal setting), manual tare and preset
tare.
a. If auto tare function is enabled, the first weight being placed on the platform will be automatically tared .
b. If continuous tare function is enabled, each weight being placed on the platform will be automatically tared.
c. If manual tare is needed, place the load/container on the platform first, and then press TARE to tare the weight. The
NET indicator will appear, specifying that the weight showed on the display is the net weight.
d. If preset tare is needed, press and hold TARE. The display will show PrE.Tr, and the preset tare value setup menu will
automatically be shown.
e. When adjusting the preset tare value, use TARE to shift the flashing cursor, and ZERO to increment the value.
f. When the desired value is entered, press MODE to confirm and save the change.
g. The scale will exit the function and return to normal weighing mode, while the NET and PT indicators appear.
h. When the tare weight is removed from the platform, the display shows a negative value.
i. When a load is put on the platform, and a positive value is shown, the load’s current weight is indicated.
4.3.1 How To Clear Tare Function (auto tare, automatic continuous tare, manual tare, preset tare)
a. To clear auto tare, remove the initial weight/load from the platform. The NET indicator will turn off. Press ZERO to
return to zero weight status, if the ZERO indicator does not appear.
b. To clear continuous tare, remove all loads from the platform; the NET indicator will switch off. Press ZERO to return to
zero weight status, if the ZERO indicator does not appear.
c. To clear manual tare, remove everything from the platform and press TARE; the NET indicator will turn off. Press
ZERO to return to zero weight status, if the ZERO indicator does not appear.
d. To clear preset tare, press and hold TARE to enter preset tare settings. Set all value to zero and press MODE to
confirm the cancellation. Please make sure that the scale is not engaged in any kind of tare before proceeding to
modify the preset tare value.
