3.1. Food Waste Disposer 500A-MC EXCELLENT-Series for free-standing installation
The immediate and ecient removal of the heaviest part of kitchen waste - the food scraps - is a
necessity in any commercial kitchen. When using a Disperator waste grinder, the food waste can easily
collect and reduce the total amount of waste hygienically and without heavy liing or manual transfer
to a waste storage - in volume, but especially in the handling of the total weight in dierent transport
phases!
Disperator food waste disposers are used in kitchens and marine galleys around the world, providing an
ecient and immediate removal of food waste whenever the need arises and thereby improving hygiene
in the working environment, eliminang bad odors and bacteria formaon and minimizing manual
handling.
Regardless of the selected disposer model, the disposal procedure is the same. Food waste is fed down
into the machine and with water ground into small parcles for further transport in the sewer to a sealed
and odorless special tank where the slurry and grease are separated from much of the liquid which
ows out into the municipal sewer. Alternavely, all the sludge with liquid runs o in the municipal sewer
to a water treatment plant. The tank is emped by a vacuum truck approximately every four weeks or
according to the driving schedule that applies in your municipality. Depending upon preference, the tank
may be placed outdoors buried in the ground, as well as placed indoors. In water treatment plants as well
as in anaerobic digeson facilies the slurry is converted into a valuable renewable energy resource (i.e.
biogas), and oen the digested residue which is le aer biogas producon can also be used as ferlizer
on farmland. Biogas is today one of our society’s most environmentally clean and desired energy forms,
as fuel for vehicles as well as to produce heat and electricity.
