Jobsite hazards could cause death or serious injury. Use correct
equipment and work methods. Use and maintain proper safety equipment.
NOTICE: Cutting, drilling, or working materials such as concrete, sand, or rock containing quartz may
result in exposure to silica dust. Use water spray or other means to control dust. If workers are exposed
to dust they must wear appropriate breathing protection. Silica dust may cause lung disease and is
known to the State of California to cause cancer.
NOTICE:
Do not lift loads heavier than lift capacity for unit.
Keep bystanders clear of work area.
IMPORTANT:
Unit lift capacity is limited by stability. Unit is most likely to tip when arms are horizontal. A load
picked up when arms are above or below horizontal can cause unit to tip when arms are moved to
the horizontal position.
When filling bucket from materials piled higher than unit, keep unit bucket about 2’ (610 mm) above
ground and work around pile instead of cutting deeply into one side.
Do not use impact force of excavator bucket to break materials. Unit damage and loss of stability
can occur.
Take care to avoid digging deeply under the tracks. Ground under the tracks can collapse and cause
unit to fall.
