What to do if DITEC E1T Control Panel automation opens but does not close?
    • J
      Joseph LongAug 17, 2025
If the DITEC Control Panel automation opens but doesn't close, the issue might be related to open safety contacts. Check that the safety contacts are closed correctly (N.C.). If the SA led is flashing, inspect the connections to terminals 6-8 on the control panel and the connections to the self-controlled safety edge SOFA1-SOFA2. Also, check that the photocells are clean and operating correctly, as activated photocells can prevent closing. Finally, ensure that contact 1-2 is closed, as the automatic closing may not work if it's open.

    • S
      Stacy JohnstonAug 20, 2025
If external safety devices are not activating on your DITEC Control Panel, the issue may stem from incorrect connections between the photocells and the control panel. To resolve this, connect NC safety devices together in series and remove any bridges on the control panel terminal board.

If your DITEC Control Panel automation isn't opening or closing and the SA LED is flashing, the safety contacts may not be correctly connected, or the SOFA1-SOFA2 self-controlled safety edge may not be functioning correctly. Check connections to terminals 6-8 on the control panel and connections to the SOFA1-SOFA2 self-controlled safety edge.

Why are LEDs 11 and 12 on my DITEC E1T lit?
    • T
      Tammie MeyerSep 5, 2025
If your DITEC Control Panel automation isn't opening or closing and LEDs 11 and 12 are on, the release microswitch might be open (if present), or the motor thermal overload switch might be open. Check that the hatch is closed correctly and the microswitch makes contact (if present), and check the continuity of the thermal contact.

How to troubleshoot a DITEC E1T when the automation does not open or close?
    • C
      Catherine MejiaNov 12, 2025
If your DITEC Control Panel automation isn't opening or closing, start by checking the power supply to ensure the control panel is correctly powered. If the POWER led is off, it might be due to short-circuited accessories. Disconnect all accessories from terminals 0-1 (voltage must be 24 V=) and reconnect them one at a time to identify the culprit. Also, a blown line fuse could be the issue, so replace the fuse. The problem might also be related to open safety contacts, so check that these are correctly closed (N.C.). If the SA led is flashing, check the connections to terminals 6-8 on the control panel and the connections to the self-controlled safety edge SOFA1-SOFA2. Also, verify that the release microswitch is properly closed and making contact. Finally, check the continuity of the the...

What to do if my DITEC E1T Control Panel automation does not open or close?
    • R
      Raymond EwingNov 23, 2025
If your DITEC Control Panel automation isn't opening or closing, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the control panel is receiving power correctly, especially if the POWER LED is off. If it is still off, disconnect all accessories from terminals 0-1 to check for short circuits, reconnecting them one by one. Also, check and replace any blown line fuses. If the SA LED is on, verify that the safety contacts are correctly closed (N.C.). If the SA LED is flashing, inspect the connections to terminals 6-8 and the SOFA1-SOFA2 self-controlled safety edge. If LEDs 11 and 12 are on, confirm the release microswitch is making contact and check the continuity of the motor thermal contact. Also, ensure that the photocells are clean and operating correctly, or check that contact 1-2 is close...
