What to do if my DITEC Controller does not open and close?
    • B
      brookswilliamAug 4, 2025
If your DITEC Controller is not opening and closing, here are a few things to check: * First, ensure the control panel has power. Look for the POWER ALARM LED; if it's off, there's no power. * Second, short-circuited accessories can cause this issue. Disconnect all accessories from terminals 0-1. A voltage of 24V= must be present. Then, reconnect them one at a time to identify any faulty accessories. * Third, a blown line fuse could be the culprit. Replace the transformer fuse. * Fourth, verify that the stop contact is closed. Check terminal 9 on the control panel and the position of the operations selector, if there is one. * Finally, ensure the door moves freely and isn't locked by bolts or locks.

Why my DITEC Controller opens but doesn't close?
    • A
      albertjohnsonAug 10, 2025
If your DITEC Controller opens but does not close, consider these potential causes: * The safety contacts may be open. Check terminals 6 and 8 on the control panel. Look for the SA LED being on. * The photocells might be activated, also indicated by the SA LED being on. Ensure the photocells are clean and working correctly. * Radars may be activated. Check that the radar is not subjected to vibrations, does not make false readings or the presence of moving objects within its range. * The automatic closing function might not be working. Check jumper 1-2 and the position of the operations selector, if one is present. * An incorrect DIP3 setting could be the issue, indicated by a flashing SA LED. Check the connections of the safeties.

What to do if DITEC Controller opens/closes briefly and then stops?
    • D
      donna70Aug 16, 2025
If your DITEC Controller opens or closes briefly before stopping, the cause may be: * A defective encoder, indicated by a flashing POWER ALARM LED. If this is the case, replace the encoder. * Inverted motor wires, also indicated by a flashing POWER ALARM LED. Check the motor wires. * Friction. Manually check that the door wings move freely, and adjust the door wing height by lifting it.

Why does my DITEC Controller open by itself?
    • E
      Elaine GarciaAug 21, 2025
If your DITEC Controller is opening on its own, it could be due to unstable radars or radars detecting moving objects. Check that the radar is not subjected to vibrations, does not make false readings or the presence of moving objects within its range.

How to fix external safeties that do not activate on DITEC Controller?
    • K
      katherinemartinezAug 28, 2025
If the external safeties on your DITEC Controller aren't activating, it might be due to incorrect connections between the photocells and the control panel. Connect the N.C. safety contacts together in series and remove any jumpers that may be present.
