− Do not use a mobile phone near the
thermometer when measuring tem-
perature. Please note that portable
and mobile HF (high-frequency) com-
munication equipment (e.g. mobile
phones) could interfere with medical
electrical equipment.
− Do not use the thermometer at dis-
tances of less than 5 feet (1.5 meters)
to a short-wave or micro-wave device
or high-frequency surgical device.
− Medical electrical devices are subject
to special precautionary measures
with respect to the EMC (electromag-
netic compatibility). Therefore, please
observe the EMC notes concerning
the installation and start-up of the
thermometer.
− Remove the batteries from the ther-
mometer if it is not being used for
more than 3 months to prevent dam-
age caused by leaky batteries.
• In general, certain circumstances
can affect body temperature such as
age, clothing, outdoor temperature,
physical activity, one’s individual
metabolism and time of day.
