Start-up
− Before using the thermometer for
the first time, carefully remove the
protective film from the display.
The two batteries have already been inserted
in the thermometer, but are protected by an
insulating strip.
1. Before first use, open the battery compart-
ment cover

on the back of the
thermometer.
2. Pull the insulating strip
out and close the bat-
tery compartment cover
again.
3. The thermometer will
now emit 4 brief signal tones to indicate
that it has switched on and the full seg-
ment indicator will initially appear on the
LCD display

for a short period.
