• If you would like to immediately
switch back to standby mode from
configuration or memory mode, you
must push the buttons (
) for ear
measurement and (
)for forehead
measurement at the same time.
The thermometer will automatically
switch to standby mode if there is no
button activity for approx. 1 minute
after performing the temperature
measurement or, in configuration
or memory mode, within approx. 30
seconds.
• If “Lo” or “Hi” appears on the LCD
display after taking a measurement,
the temperature measured has ex-
ceeded or underrun the permissible
temperature range.
• IMPORTANT INFORMATION about
the “Clean alert”:
If, after performing a number of tem-
perature measurements, the green
backlight of the thermometer starts to
blink while emitting 2 audible tones
and blinking twice, this is not a mal-
function, but the “Clean” alert. For this,
read the chapter section “Clean” alert.
