5. Slowly and carefully insert the probe tip
with the infrared sensor

in your outer
ear canal.
6. Hold the thermometer so that the probe tip
is directly aligned with the eardrum inside
your ear (see Fig.B). If possible, always
perform the temperature measurement in
the same manner on the same ear.
7. Hold the thermometer steady and then push
the button (
) for ear measurement

A signal tone will indicate that the mea-
surement has started. A signal tone will
sound twice after approx. 2 seconds indi-
cating that the temperature measurement
is complete. The symbol (
