Range General Information
Term Definition
Thermocouple
This component senses the pilot flame for
the oven and controls the safety valve and
oven thermostat.
Volt Meter
A meter used for reading voltage and
Ohm resistance.
Yellow Tipping
Term used to describe a burner flame
with excessive yellow tipping. The yellow
tipping can be caused by an improper
gas/air mixture due to improper burner
alignment or restriction of the orifice.

ignition to test fittings and gas lines for leaks.

Remember to check the basics before replacing any
parts, such as loose wiring and overall Installation issues.

12 VDC Ignition Module (D21 Model Only)
Does the burner fail to ignite when the
control knob is turned?
Test the ignition at the burner:
1. Turn one control knob.
2. Watch for a spark at the burner.
3. Repeat for each control knob.
Test the module using a volt meter. 22
Clean the burner. 27
Check the gas pressure. 20
Inspect the ignition module. Is there
visible damage?
If damage is observed, replace the component (visit
www.eDometic.com for service kit information and
www.dometic.com for installation details).
Burner Box
Does the range make a rattling sound
during operation?
Confirm the mounting screws are in place. If the screws
are loose, tighten until secure.
