Burner Supply Valve
Do the burner or pilots fail to light or stay
lit?
• Perform a spray leak test. 22
• Check the gas pressure. 20
• Check the supply valve and turn the valve to the
open position.
Inspect the burner supply valve.
• Is the valve visibly damaged?
If damage is observed, replace the component (visit

• Is the valve closed? Turn the valve to the open position.
Cooktop
Visually inspect for chips or damage.
Is the cooktop warped or cracked?
Excessive heat build-up could result from pans that
exceed 10 in. (254 mm) in size or that are not large
enough to cover the burner area and/or contain the
cooked food. This heat build-up can result in damage
to the range and warping or blistering of the cooktop.
