Oven Burner Continued
Are the flames appearing under the top
of the main oven burner?

• Line up the burner tube with the burner located
on the bottom of the cooktop.
Inspect the oven burner. Is there visible
damage?

Oven Door Seal
Is excessive heat coming out from around
the oven door?
Is the oven cycling frequently?
Inspect the oven door seal. Is there visible
damage?

Oven Flue (Vent)
Is the oven cooking foods unevenly
and/or burning the bottom portion of the
food?
Does the pilot extinguish or not stay lit?
• Verify that the pan size being used does not
restrict air flow.
• Confirm that there is no aluminum foil over the
oven rack.
• Confirm with the owner that the oven has not
been too full for proper circulation. There must be
1 in. (26 mm) of clearance between the food and
the oven sides in all directions.
• Confirm that the ventilation holes in the oven
bottom (shelf above burner) are not covered.
• Check the oven thermostat. 15

Oven Thermostat
Is the oven cooking foods unevenly
and/or burning the bottom portion of the
food?
Is the oven cycling frequently?
• Calibrate the oven thermostat.
• Test the accuracy of the oven thermostat. It should
be ±25 degrees of the set point.
