Lifting and Moving the Controller
WARNING: The controller weighs over 40 kg. A 2 man lift is required.
An optional mobility kit (Domino part number EPT031573) with 4 castors is available to
assist moving the controller.
For lifting, four hooks are supplied with the laser system which may be mounted to the four
top corners of the controller (as shown below).
Laser Protection Window
Domino recommends installing a protection window in front of the laser lens, to keep the
lens clean. A protection window can be ordered from Domino - part number EPT031339.
This protection window has to be checked and cleaned regularly (recommended daily)
depending on the production rate. These intervals may be expanded afterwards.
WARNING: The windows must be exchanged if it can no longer be cleaned.
Guarding
The following type of guarding, using the recommended materials and construction
techniques, is required to achieve a safe installation.
WARNING: Never install a laser in such a way that the lens points to a door or in
the direction of an operator.
When designing a housing for a fibre laser, always use overlaps where possible to trap the
laser light inside the housing, especially for mark on the fly applications where a product
inlet and outlet to the housing are needed
