• Select High accuracy to use GPS, Wi-Fi, cellular networks, and
other sensors to get the highest-accuracy location for your de-
vice. It uses Google's location service to help estimate your lo-
cation faster and more accurately.
• Select Battery saving to estimate your location using low bat-
tery-intensive location sources, such as Wi-Fi and cellular net-
works. It uses Google's location service to help estimate your
location faster and more accurately.
• Select Device only to estimate your location using GPS only.
This mode may use more battery power and take longer to de-
termine your location. It doesn’t use Google's location service
to provide location information.

You can also see how your battery is affected by the different apps that
use location services. This information is shown under each approved
app that can be used to locate your phone.
• Low battery use this app uses only low battery-intensive sources.
• High battery use this app may use more battery power.
Note! Turning off location for your device also turns it off for Google apps
and other non-Google apps. This means that apps can’t use your phones
location, and many useful features will be turned off.
Time and date
Your phone may already be set to the correct time, date, and time zone.
If not, you can set them yourself. Auto time is enabled by default. To
change the date and time, follow the steps below.
1. From the Home screen, select Menu to open the applications list.
2. Select
Settings Time and date.
3. Select Set time format to select 12 or 24 hour clock.
