We would like to thank you for your choice of Universal Counterfeit
Detector DORS 1300.
READ THE MANUAL WITH ATTENTION
BEFORE YOU START TO WORK!
Universal counterfeit detector DORS 1300 (hereafter – ‘the device’)
shall be used for a visual detection of authenticity of banknotes, securities, ex-
cise stamps and other documents with the protective marks that may be verified
by the device.
THE DEVICE IS EQUIPPED WITH
■ an ultra-violet (hereafter – UV) source consisting of 3 fluorescent lamps
(6W each);
■ a top infrared (hereafter – IR) source emitting at the 850 nm and 940 nm
wavelength;
■ top white oblique source with an opportunity to examine a variable
color inks (OVI);
-
■ a viewing table with combined illumination – transmitted IR light and white
light;
* provided the detector is used in strict compliance with the given User Manual and the
applicable technical standards.
5
■ 7” color TFT LCD;
■
two video cameras transmitting image of the banknote (document) on
the viewing table to the LCD screen in scale 1:1 or with 10-fold magnifi-
cation;
■ the connectors for video magnifier DoRs 1020, and a detector of magne-
tic and IR marks DORS 15;
■ an additional video input and a video output.
THE DEVICE MAY
1. Verify absence of a general visible luminescence in ultraviolet light on
a banknote (document).
2. Verify a presence of IR marks in a reflected and transmitted light as well
as verify IR blink marks in two-wave lengths mode (940/850 nm).
3. Verify a luminescence of the specific areas of a banknote (document) in
UV light (marks, security threads and fibers).
4. Verify watermarks and security threads on banknote (document).
5. Examine the surface of banknotes or documents with protection
elements in a white oblique reflected light. This way you can verify the
relief of printed elements, a tilting effect and the marks made with
variable color inks.
6. Verify an authenticity of micro perforations.
7. Verify the security elements on a banknote that are printed with a variable
color ink (OVI).

8. Perform an advanced verification under a 10-fold magnification
in two b ands (white/IR) when using a built-in 10x camera or and in
three band s(white/IR/UV) when using th e vide o magnifier. DORS 1020
This way you can verify a coincidence of thin multicolored lines of the
currency design, a readability of a microtext and the currency design at
specific points.
9. Verify a presence of magnetic marks when using the DORS 15
detector of magnetic and IR marks.
The UV marks may be examined on the surface of the document when it is
put on the viewing table of the device. The IR marks and IR blink marks can
be examined on the 7” LCD o f the device. When the IR – marks are being
inspected on the display, a 10-fold zoom mode makes it possible to check the
structure of the mark lines without the video magnifier.
The device has an additional video input that makes it possible to display
animage from an external video signal source, for example, from a CCTV
camera. The video output may be used for transmitting the image to an
external display or a co mputer.
