Principles of operation
9.1.4 Volume-controlled ventilation
9.1.4.1 Compliance compensation
The applied VT is corrected by the determined breathing hose compliance, i.e., an additional
volume is delivered in order to ensure the application of the volume to the patient. On the
product variant with the integrated patient-gas measurement module, the applied VT is
corrected by the amount of suction flow as soon as CO
2 respiratory phases are detected.
