Checking the Constant Dosage
1 Open cylinder.
Insert tappet cover over relief valve.
Use squeeze bulb to fill bag until pressure gauge
indicates ≈ 7-8 mbar.
2 Quickly clamp tube.
Remove squeeze bulb and connect to dosage
meter. Open/release clamp.
3 Read off measured dosage value on meter as
soon as display has stabilized.
The dosage should lie between
1.5 and 1.9 L / min.
Checking the Minimum Valve
1 Leave cylinder open.
Remove flow meter and allow breathing bag to
slowly vent. Attach negative end of squeeze bulb.
Pump bulb to help deflate bag.
2 Venting can be speeded up by depressing the
pressure relief valve.
3 Remove sealing cap from relief valve.
4 Allow pressure to drain until minimum valve is
heard to open in breathing bag and there is a
hissing sound.
5 Observe the pressure gauge:
the minimum valve should open at a value
between 0.1 and 2.5 mbar.
