Testing
Checking the Response Threshold of the Low
Pressure Warning
1 Screw the test adapter R 50 028 into the connector of the
test unit.
Remove the sealing cap from the plug connection of the
breathing hose and plug the coupling into the test adapter.
Set test unit so that it indicates the pressure.
2 Open shut-off valve at the test unit.
3 Connect pressure side of the pump to the test unit.
Pump slowly.
4 Watch the test unit: the low pressure warning should be
activated when the pressure is lower than 1.4 mbar.
De-aereate PSS BG 4 via test unit until the low pressure
warning is switched off.
Low pressure warning indication:
Backlight turns on including
red LEDs.
Open cylinder valve icon is shown.
Alarm bleeps intermittently.
The function test for low pressure warning should only be
carried out after the Sentinel has been switched off.
