Checking the Response Threshold of the Low
Pressure Warning
1 Screw the test adapter R 50 028 into the connector of the
test unit.
Remove the sealing cap from the plug connection of the
breathing hose and plug the coupling into the test adapter.
● Set test unit so that it indicates the pressure.
2 Open shut-off valve at the test unit.
3 Connect pressure side of the pump to the test unit.
● Pump slowly.
4 Watch the test unit: the low pressure warning should be
activated when the pressure is lower than 1.4 mbar.
● De-aereate PSS BG 4 via test unit until the low pressure
warning is switched off.
Low pressure warning indication:
— Backlight turns on including
red LEDs.
— Open cylinder valve icon is shown.
— Alarm bleeps intermittently.
The function test for low pressure warning should only be
carried out after the Sentinel has been switched off.
