ach einer Messbereichsüberschreitung am CatEx-Kanal müssen vor
der weiteren Verwendung des Geräts Nullpunkt und Empfindlichkeit
geprüft und ggf. justiert werden.
Bei Verwendung eines CatEx-Sensors im Dräger X-am 7000 muss
nach einer extremen Stoßbelastung eine Justierung von Nullpunkt und
Empfindlichkeit durchgeführt werden.

erhalten bei Messbereichsüberschreitung von 100 % UEG:
Wenn es zu einer deutlichen Messbereichsüberschreitung am CatEx-
Kanal kommt (sehr hohe Konzentration an brennbaren Stoffen), wird
ein Sperralarm ausgelöst. Dieser CatEx-Sperralarm wird für alle
namentlich auswählbaren Stoffe automatisch quittiert, wenn ein funk
-
tionsfähiger (d. h. frei von Warnungen und Störungen) Sauerstoff-
Kanal vorhanden ist.
Sonderfälle:

Bei CatEx-Sensoren mit einem Messbereich bis 100 Vol.-% Me-
than: In der Konfigurationseinstellung "Methan" wird bei einer
Messbereichsüberschreitung von 100 % UEG Methan kein Sperr
-
alarm ausgelöst, da die Eindeutigkeit der Anzeige für Methan über
eine separate Messung der Wärmeleitfähigkeit sichergestellt
wird.

Bei der Geräteeinstellung „Ex-Gase“ erfolgt keine automatische
Quittierung des Sperralams durch den Sauerstoff-Kanal.
In jedem Fall kann der Sperralarm manuell durch Aus- und erneutes
Einschalten des Geräts an Frischluft (frei von brennbaren Gasen und
Dämpfen) quittiert werden.

the zero point and sensitivity (span) must be checked and adjusted if
necessary before the instrument is used again.
When using a CatEx sensor in the Dräger X-am 7000, the zero point
and sensitivity must be adjusted after any extreme impact loading.

viour in case of measurement range exceedance of 100 % LEL:
In case the measurement range at the CatEx channel is exceeded
significantly (very high concentration of inflammable substances), a
blocking alarm is triggered. This CatEx blocking alarm is
acknowledged automatically for all specifically selectable substances
if a functional (i. e. free of warnings or failures) oxygen channel is
available.
Exceptions:

For CatEx sensors with a measurement range of up to 100
Vol.-% methane: For the configuration setting "Methane", no
blocking alarm is triggered in case the measurement range of LEL
methane is exceeded, as the clearness of the methane display is
ensured through a separate measurement of the heat
conductance.

For the device setting „Ex gases“, the blocking alarm is not
automatically acknowledged by the oxygen channel.
In any case, the blocking alarm can be acknowledged by switching
the device off and on to fresh air (free of inflammable gases or
vapours).
