- BLADE GUARD SLIDE ADJUSTMENT (Fig.15.):
The blade guard assembly 3 should be adjusted to
within 3mm of the workpiece. Always adjust the blade
guide assembly to suit the workpiece before each
operation. Loosen the locking knob 4and adjust the
control knob 5 to raise or lower the guard. When
complete, tighten locking knob 4 to secure.
- NOTE: THE BS250A is not equipped with the locking
knob 4.

- SELECTING THE CORRECT BLADE SPEED
(76237 only):
This bandsaw can be operated at two different
speeds- 370-750m/min. by changing the V-belt on the
pulleys The bandsaw blade speed most suitable for the
job at hand should be found by making trail cuts in
scrap wood.
We recommend:
370m/min for hardwoods, etc.
750m/min for most other timber.
- CHANGE OF SAW BLADE SPEED (76237 only)
(Fig.16-17.):
Slacken the V belt by turning the drive belt tensioner
6 clockwise. Place the belt as shown in fig.14.
Depending on the speed required.

- NOTE: DO NOT CROSS OVER BELT DIAGONALLY.
Re tension the drive belt. When correctly tensioned the
belt will flex by approx. 10mm.
