105.2 Installation Considerations
ThissectionexplainshowtoinstalltheLSNsystem’sbatteries,fuses,andcables.Aqualiedelectricianwhois
familiar with battery installations and applicable building and electrical codes should install the batteries.
1. Location
Thesystembatteriesinstallinseparatebatterycabinet(s).Beforeinstallingthebatteries,installtheLSNinverter
system and any battery cabinets in their permanent location. See Section 103 to choose a location and Section
104 for instructions on securing the LSN inverter system and battery cabinets to the wall.
CAUTION:DonotmovetheLSNinvertersystemorseparatebatterycabinet(s)afterinstallingthebatteries.The
unit,cabinetand/orbatteriesmaybedamaged.
2. Inter-Cabinet Connections
Wherever conductors may be exposed to physical damage, the conductors must be protected in accordance with
NECrequirements.ThisincludesbatterycablesbetweentheLSNinvertersystemandbatterycabinet(s)and
cables between battery cabinets.
Dual-Lite recommends routing the battery cables through the chase nipples supplied with the unit. The battery
cablesshippedwiththeunitaredesignedforaninstallationwiththebatterycabinet(s)installedinthestandard
congurationsshowninSection104.1
IMPORTANT: If cabinets are installed in congurations other than those shown in
Section 104.1, factory supplied inter-cabinet connectors and battery cables may not t.
