l) If you experience an unpleasant sensation (e.g. tingling) or the colour of the
skin on your hands changes while you are using the device, stop performing
work with the device immediately!
4) Use and Care of the Device
a) Make sure that all foreign bodies such as nails and screws have been removed from
the workpiece before you start work.
b) Do not use the device if it has malfunctioned or been dropped in water.
c) Do not make any changes to the device. Do not attempt to replace the mains cable
or the mains plug.
d) Check the tool attachments for any damage or cracks before you use them. Replace
damaged or cracked tool attachments immediately.
e) Cuttings etc. are not automatically removed from the working area. Due to the in-
creased friction, this can result in the build-up of heat and in damage to the device
and material as a result. You should therefore regularly switch off the device and
remove the cuttings etc. from the workpiece.
f) Do not leave the device working on one spot for too long. This can lead to the build-
up of a lot of heat right through to ignition of the workpiece.
g) Make sure that parts of the device cannot come into contact with combustible mate-
rials. This might cause a fi re.
h) In the event of any damage/faults, switch the device off immediately and pull the
mains plug out of the plug socket. Do not use the device again. Contact the customer
service department.
i) Never leave the device unattended when it is switched on or connected to the mains.
Pull out the mains plug when taking lengthy breaks and before all maintenance and
cleaning work or similar tasks on the device. This will prevent the device from start-
ing up unintentionally.
j) Never use damaged or incorrect tool attachments as otherwise it is no longer pos-
sible to guarantee operational safety and optimum performance from the device.
k) Always keep the handle and the gripping surface dry, clean and free of grease to
ensure that the device can be held securely and fi rmly during use.
l) When operating the device, you should always be prepared for the possibility of the
tool attachment becoming jammed in the workpiece and losing control of the device
as a result. You should therefore hold the device fi rmly and be prepared to press the
On/Off switch at any time.
m) Danger of entanglement! Never process workpieces which have ropes, cords, rib-
bons, cables or wires on them or which contain such materials, and never leave
them lying around in the working area.
n) The shank of the tool attachment must correspond precisely to the size of the collet.
Tool attachments which are not inserted properly will not run true and will vibrate
excessively, which may lead to a loss of control.
o) Switch on the device and let it run for a while before you perform a cut. Look out for
any untrue running (i.e. "wobbling") of the tool attachment or for additional vibrations
