Troubleshooting
If the device should stop working properly, rst check whether you are able to correct
the problem yourself.

Problem Possible cause and remedy
The device cannot
be switched on.
Is the mains plug correctly inserted in the plug socket?
Is the socket defective? Try another socket.
Check the fuse of your mains connection.
It is possible that the carbon brushes may be worn or other
parts of the device may be defective. Have the device re-
paired in an authorised specialist workshop.
The device only
operates slowly.
Is the attachment blunt or damaged? Sharpen it or replace it.
Is the attachment not suitable for the workpiece?
Is the speed which is set too low? Increase it using the speed
controller.
Excessive vibration
Is the attachment loose or not correctly tted?
Is the attachment bent or damaged in some other way?
Is the attachment not suitable for the workpiece?
Make sure that you guide the device synchronously, i.e. with
the direction of rotation (clockwise) of the cutter, to ensure
that it works more smoothly. Exception: Drywalls/plaster-
boards should be cut in the anticlockwise direction.
Is the speed which is set too high? Reduce it using the speed
controller.

the device maintained in an authorised specialist workshop.
