Ecodyst High-Powered Heating Mantles act as a heater for the solvent extraction process. With proper care and
operation, Ecodyst Scientic, Inc. mantles will give long and ecient service. Contamination, overheating and general
misuse will greatly reduce the life of a mantle. The Ecodyst High-Powered Heating Mantles consist of an insulated
electrical-resistance heater and require a controlled source of power, thus a temperature controller. The use of a
variable voltage source such as our High-Powered Heating Mantle Controller is recommended to prevent overheating
and to eect accurate temperature control. It is never advised to plug the heating mantle directly into a wall socket. If
connected directly to a wall socket, this can cause overheating, and dangerous hazards such as res and burns.
Ecodyst Scientic, Inc. has several heating mantles to match each available reaction vessel size. In the table below,
each heating mantle is illustrated alongside its corresponding current, voltage, and reaction vessel size.
Heating Mantle Models & Specications
WARNING: Only the right size of reaction vessels should be used with each controller for safe operations and
maximum eciency. Using a smaller heating mantle for a bigger reaction vessel or vice versa could lead to
hazardous incidents such as burns, re, chemical spillage, and similar dangerous hazards.

1. Remove the covering after receiving the unit and placing it in the designated location.
2. Inspect the unit for any potential shipment damage. If any transit damages are discovered, please notify the
forwarder and your contractor as soon as possible. If there are no damages, continue to step 3.
3. Position the unit on the support stand. Now allow the device to stand for a few minutes to allow all the internal
parts and components to stabilize.
4. For electrical power, connect the main power cables to the temperature controller’s socket.
