Why is my Electra Wmz 9 not cooling or heating, and only the indoor fan works?
    • E
      Ebony KaneSep 12, 2025
If your Electra Air Conditioner's indoor fan is running but there's no cooling or heating, the outdoor fan motor may be faulty, or another issue might have triggered the compressor overload protection. Try removing any obstructions blocking the outdoor fan. If that doesn't work, the P.C.B. may need replacement.

    • S
      Sean HarperAug 21, 2025
If your Electra Air Conditioner's indoor fans are working, but there is no cooling or heating, the overload safety device on the compressor may have cut out due to low voltage or high temperature, the compressor run capacitor could be faulty, or the compressor windings may be shorted. Check for proper voltage, switch off the power, and try again after one hour. You may also need to replace the compressor capacitor or the compressor.

What to do if my Electra Wmz 9 Air Conditioner compressor does not start up?
    • T
      Travis JohnsonSep 1, 2025
If the compressor on your Electra air conditioner isn't starting, begin by checking the voltage at the compressor terminals on the outdoor unit using an ammeter. If there's no voltage, the main P.C.B. may need to be replaced. If the voltage is low, repair the power supply. If the voltage is correct, consider replacing the capacitor or the compressor itself. If there is no voltage, repair electrical wiring between indoor and outdoor units.

What to do if my Electra Wmz 9 Air Conditioner has freeze-up of outdoor coil in heating mode?
    • K
      Kristie MitchellSep 7, 2025
If you notice freeze-up of the outdoor coil in heating mode on your Electra Air Conditioner, resulting in a poor heating effect while the indoor fan operates, the outdoor thermistor could be faulty, the control cable might be damaged, the outdoor temperature may be below design conditions, or the outdoor unit air outlet might be blocked. Replace the thermistor or repair the control cable. If the outdoor temperature is too low, shut the unit off as it cannot work properly. Also, ensure there are no obstructions blocking the outdoor unit air outlet.
