8.6. Bipolar coagulation
The methods for connecting the electrodes are explained in
Fig. 5.
Before starting a medical procedure bipolar coagulation has to be activated with a footswitch.
Assignment of the bipolar coagulation to the blue two-button footswitch is performed by K9
button- signalized by a blue led on the right side of the K9 button.
To activate the bipolar coagulation using one-button footswitch a footswitch has to be in the
bipolar coagulation mode by pressing K9 – signalized by a blue led on the right side of the K9
button.
Press the foot-operated switch to activate follow function: cutting / monopolar
colagulation / bipolar coagulation.

Bipolar coagulation can only be activated by using a foot-operated switch.
