10. Technical inspections
After each operation the condition of power leads, electrodes and the pedal switch should be
checked.
After switching on of the unit Power On Self Test is performed:
If any error occurs it is displayed in a form below:
Err XX np.: 01,
where XX means malfunction of :
01 - handle switch CUT ,
02 - handle switch COAG ,
04 - foot switch CUT,
08 - foot switch COAG,
16 - closed
bipolar forceps.
Following mistakes result from the damages of the instrumentation connected
to the device.
If any other code is given an authorised service should be contacted.
MECHANICAL FAILURES:
In the case of sockets, switches, casing, or keyboard failure, or if the generator is dropped, the
device should be taken to an authorized dealer before further use.
An authorized dealer can carry out a more detailed technical inspection.
The manufacturer does not anticipate any calibrations or repairs of the electrosurgical
generator to be performed by the user, with the exception of power and mode settings.
A periodical inspection is required once a year. The manufacturer only
admits the use of generators which have an up-to-date inspection
performed by an authorized dealer.
