C.3 IEC 62734 Device support
Since these devices communicate through a different network, they will appear separate
from WirelessHART
®
devices in the Gateway user interface, but still all at the same IP
address and web page. These devices will appear in two separate tables in the Gateway
Devices page.
Figure C-2: Devices Page
On this page, you can see the two device tables for both your WirelessHART devices and
legacy ISA100 devices. The ISA100 device table shows channels (1-4) instead of variables
as this is how these devices are set up to publish data. Other than this, the tables are set up
very similarly and can be navigated the same way.
Devices can be selected and expanding to show detailed device information. Although the
detailed information isn’t as extensive as what you would see from a WirelessHART device,
more information can still be found on this page. A key piece of information that can be
found here is the devices role. Since ISA100 doesn’t have native mesh abilities like a
WirelessHART device does, this can show you whether or not the device is able to route
information through it’s neighboring devices. If a device is considered a “router device”
then it is communicating through it’s neighbors like a WirelessHART device. All published
data from the device can also be viewed through this page.
