It is recommended that the calculated for a given EGD
exchange configuration and Watchdog period should be less than 50-55% for stable
operation within watchdog period without WDT elapse.
Note: The higher percentage of this parameter indicates that the EGD on Embedded
Ethernet interface could have a greater impact on CPU applications.
A-3.7 Example Calculation for EGD Utilization on RX3i
CPE302/CPE305/CPE310 and RSTi-EP CPE100/CPE115
The watchdog time configured to 200ms for calculations in the table below:
A-3.8 Normal Sweep – EGD on RX3i CPE302/CPE305/CPE310 and
RSTi-EP CPE100/CPE115 Embedded Ethernet Interface
The following table shows the chart for setting up EGD exchanges on Embedded Ethernet
for RX3i CPE302/CPE305/CPE310 with a no sweep load and no network traffic. The table
is a compilation of results based on testing with two RX3i CPE310 Systems in which one is
acting as the EGD Producer and the other is acting as the EGD Consumer.
