3.2  Wire and apply power
3.2.1  Wire the sensor to the transmitter

Wiring Diagrams
The transmitter must be configured for at least a three-wire RTD
in order to recognize an RTD with a compensation loop.
Emerson provides a four-wire sensors for all single element RTDs.
Use these RTDs in three-wire configurations by leaving the
unneeded leads disconnected and insulated with electrical tape.

3.2.2  Power the transmitter
An external power supply is required to operate the transmitter.
Procedure
1. Remove the housing cover (if applicable).
