Digital Outputs (cont.)
The outputs can be toggled using a PC computer program or as
part of a Prole and can be used to trigger a process in another
part of the system, such as to turn on an audio or visual alarm or
to start a conveyor belt.
As shown in Figure 42:
• Output #1 uses an external power supply to switch a 12V DC
solid state relay, which controls Load 1.
• Output #2 uses the ER5000’s power supply to switch a
24V DC relay, which controls Load 2.
