2.3 Transmitter wiring
Warning!
• Make electrical connections with the power supply switched off!
• When wiring up probes and sensors in explosion hazardous areas, observe the
instructions on the certificate and other appropriate regulations.
Rack wiringFig. 2.4 is a pin assignment diagram for the Silometer FMC 671 Z/676 Z.
• Terminals z 30, b 14, d 14 and b 10 are connected internally
• Inputs d2, d4 and z2, z4 are electrically isolated from the circuit and each
other.
• The circuit zero of the unit ( ⊥ ) is connected to the negative terminal of the
supply voltage.
Note!
• Two indexing pins, at positions 1 and 22 in the rack connector ensure that Silometer
FMC 671 Z/676 Z transmitters only can be inserted at these points. The pins must
be inserted if the rack is not custom built by Endress+Hauser.
