mode 1. This corresponds to the calibration described in Section 4.2.
4.2 Empty/full calibration for level measurement
This calibration requires the determination of two parameters,
• an »empty« level at V0H1,
• a »full« level at V0H2.
After calibration
If the level is entered in %, after the calibration:
• % level is displayed at V0H0
• The 0/4…20 mA signal range corresponds to 0…100% level
• Limit relay 1 trips at 90% (maximum fail-safe)
• the parameters »offset« and »sensitivity« are calculated and stored at
V3H1/V3H2.
If the level is entered in m, ft. etc. the analogue outputs and relay switching points must
be set in the same units, see Chapters 6 and 7.
Procedure
Step Matrix Entry Significance
1 V0H1 e.g. 10% Fill the vessel until the probe is covered (0
…
40%) and
enter the level you wish to have displayed.
2 - »E« Register entry
3 V0H2 e.g. 95% Fill the vessel as far as possible (60
…
100%) and
enter the level you wish to have displayed.
4 - »E« Register entry
5 V0H0 The measured value is shown in the units selected.
Note!
• The calibration can be performed in reverse order
• For bulk solids, the probe measures the depth of emersion in the product only.
Account for any filling mound or outflow depression by the entered levels.
