What to do if Engbo MAXI 32 windlass does not work or pulls very poorly?
    • J
      Joseph LuceroAug 9, 2025
If your Engbo boating equipment windlass isn't working well, start by checking the main power supply. Measure the voltage in the battery cables at the point where they connect to the windlass while it's running. If the voltage is less than 10.5V, investigate the cause. Inspect all connection points, including the main switch, fuse, battery shoes, and the battery's overall condition and voltage. If the voltage is above 10.5V but the motor still doesn't work, the electronic protection function might have shut it down due to prolonged use or overload. Let it cool down for about 20 minutes before trying again.

How to troubleshoot Engbo Boating Equipment if the windlass is completely dead?
    • E
      Edward EnglishAug 16, 2025
If your Engbo boating equipment windlass is completely dead, begin by verifying that the main switch is in the ON position and the fuse is intact. Ensure all connection points are making proper contact and that all connections align with the diagrams provided in the manual. Finally, confirm that there's sufficient voltage being supplied to the windlass motor.

Why Engbo MAXI 32 Boating Equipment windlass will not drop anchor and only winds in for 3 s?
    • J
      Joel SantiagoAug 25, 2025
If your Engbo boating equipment windlass only winds in for 3 seconds and refuses to drop anchor, check that the connections to the electronic control unit (1, 2, and 3) match the diagram. Try swapping connections 1 and 3; this should restore correct function.

What to check if auto stop function does not work on Engbo Boating Equipment?
    • D
      Dwayne BruceAug 31, 2025
If the auto stop function isn't working on your Engbo boating equipment, specifically on rope windlasses, start by checking the following: - Ensure the connections to points 4, 5, and 6 are correctly configured according to the diagram. - Verify that the voltage to the emitter (between points 4 and 6) exceeds 10 V DC. - Confirm that the auto stop wires are properly positioned. - Check that the auto stop emitter is at the correct distance from the rope. If the voltage is adequate and the emitter distance is correct, but the lamp remains unlit, the emitter likely needs replacement.
