Routine Maintenance and Service
CLEANING THE INSIDE OF THE FIREBOX
Turn off the unit and allow it to cool down completely.
Remove the log carefully from the rebox. Gently remove the embers and place on a piece of paper towel, until
ready to replace.
Vacuum the bottom of the rebox thoroughly. Carefully clean off any dust on the logs and remove any lint from the
main burner and pilot burner.
After carefully replacing the log and embers in their correct positions, and the door has been resealed, re-light the
pilot, following the instructions on the attached label.

ELECTRONIC IGNITION (BATTERY REPLACEMENT)
If the unit does not spark when lighting, the battery in the
electronic ignition could need replacing.
Located on the left hand rear corner of the unit is a small
rectangular hole. Located here is the electronic ignition
module.
Remove the battery cover and replace battery using one
AA battery.
Reinstall the battery cover and check for spark by
depressing the pilot knob located on the control panel.
