Operation:
The
sensor
detects
the
light
through
the
slits
on
the
sensor
timing
disc
under
the
carriage
motor
at
the
right
side
of
the
printer
mechanism
durino
operation
of
the
carriage.
The
PTS
signal,
thus
detected,
is
used
asthe
reference
of
the
followmg
conditions:
a. It is
input
to
the
slave CPU
through
IC8A
and
IC7C
on
the
main
board
to
correct
the
carriage
speed.
b. Itisinput to the main
CPU
through
IC
8Aon the circuit
board
to
determine
the
print
timmg.
c. It
latches
the
status
of
the
home
position.
