Connecting the Scanner to a SCSI Interface
In order to use the SCSI connection, you need to make sure your computer has a
SCSI board and any necessary SCSI software installed. Then follow these steps to
connect the scanner:
1. Make sure the scanner is off.
2. If you have another SCSI device that
uses SCSI ID 2, turn the SCSI ID
switch on the back of the scanner to a
new number. Do not use 0, 1, or 7.
3. Unless your scanner is connected in
the middle of a SCSI chain, leave the
terminator switch on the back of the
scanner turned
On.
4. Squeeze the lock releases on your
SCSI cable, and plug it into either
SCSI connector on the back of the
scanner. Connect the other end of
the cable to the SCSI port on your
computer.
